| Decentralized servo drive Rexroth IndraDrive Mi with Multi-Ethernet and Safety |
 |
| Due to its Multi-Ethernet interface, the further developed decentralized servo drive Rexroth IndraDrive Mi simplifies the implementation of the most different automation structures with a uniform hardware. In addition the possible direct connection of Ethernet components to the drive reduces the wiring expenditure. The certified drive integrated safety function STO raises the degree of freedom for the modularization in the mechanical engineering.

The new Multi-Ethernet interface of the further developed IndraDrive Mi reduces the configuration of the communication protocols SERCOS III, PROFINET IO (RT), EtherNet/IP as well as EtherCAT to a pure software setting. This allows OEMs to realize the different automation structures wished by the End Users with a uniform hardware. This clearly simplifies the logistics and the spare part inventory.

The decentralized servo drives reduce the wiring needs up to 85 percent compared to conventional solutions. In addition, it is now possible to connect Ethernet actuators and peripheral devices directly to the drive. This saves wiring of these components to the control cabinet and reduces furthermore the installation costs. For example, users can directly connect Rexroth pneumatic and hydraulic actuators via SERCOS III.

With the drive integrated safety functions ”Safety on Board” Rexroth speeds up the modularization in the mechanical engineering. With “Safe Torque Off – STO” equipped axes ensure safety without an additional control. With activation of the STO function the drive interrupts the current to the connected motor. This prevents a unintentional drive caused start of the motor when it is in standstill. The STO function in the IndraDrive Mi is certified with Cat 4 PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 according to EN 62061.
